CLA - Centro de Línguas de Alvide (The Alvide Language Centre) has gained a lot of experience in teaching languages for more than 20 years.  We are recognized by the Ministry of Education and accredited as a training institution by DGERT – Direcção Geral to Emprego e das Relações de Trabalho (The Institute for Quality in Training).

Our high quality of language training is founded on a didactic system, guaranteeing each student achieves results easily. Our lively, enthusiastic and qualified teachers (who are also native speakers) use innovative methods such as interactive whiteboards, DVDs, CDs and audiovisual aids in their classes.

We not only teach at our own premises but also provide classes based within organizations or firms who request our services.  Register for individual or group classes for the following languages:  English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese for Foreigners as well as Technical Portuguese - for technical and administrative personnel working in the various economic sectors. 

We facilitate the learning of a new language at all levels and for all age groups by providing classes with a small number of students, which take place at any time (morning, afternoon or evening) to suit your personal schedule.

CLA also offers translation and interpreting services, including simultaneous interpretating of English and Spanish, always guaranteeing confidentiality, quality and delivery of work within the given deadlines.
Thus, CLA makes itself an active force in the development of a society lacking the language knowledge, so it is no longer a barrier for the economical and social development of the country, making it possible to respond effectively to the challenges of a globalized world.
